Here's what we've been up to recently.

PRIDE is coming. This year proves to be the biggest yet. The event will feature live music and dance, spoken word poetry, games (volleyball/badminton), vendors and informational booths, storytelling tent ("Speaking of Pride...") and a boat decorating contest before the "Float" down the Deschutes River.

What? Of course there's going to be a raffle! HDC always brings out the big dogs of social justice in Central Oregon to donate for the raffles and this year is no exception. There will be amazing gifts from local supportive businesses including everything from Pride Sausage to Chiropractic care to Kayak/Canoe lessons and so much more!

Entertainment:
Threes (jazz/rock)
Bijou Project (bellydance)
Jason Graham and Andrea Schuman (award winning spoken word artists)
Polite Conversation (youth instrumental Pink Floyd-style stuff)
Jenni Peskin (acoustic guitar)
and DJ

Food Vendors:
Breck Morgan Catering (steak and bbq)
Kebaba (middle eastern cuisine)

Location:
Beautiful McKay Park in Bend, OR

PFLAG is looking for committed and paid members to serve on its board. Let Becky
Groves, Becky Plassmann, Linda Burgel, Marj Smith, Mike Lovely, or Adam Groves
know if you are interested.

If something more short-term is for you, then consider helping PFLAG out on its
road clean-up on October 21st at 9 AM. Just show up with sturdy shoes and
gloves in the parking lot on the corner of Hwy 20 and the Powell Butte Hwy. It
takes just a couple of hours to make PFLAG's stretch of the highway litter free!

October 17th is the deadline for registering to vote in the November election.
If you have moved, you will need to re-register.

PFLAG membership forms can be downloaded at: www.pflagcentralor. org
